Defining Education

The general definition for education is a process of teaching, training and learning specially in schools, colleges, or universities to improve knowledge and to develop skills. Education helps to upgrade and uplift society from the place where it is to a higher place. For this it is important to educate children from their toddlerhood. 

As it is defined schools, colleges and the universities are the main formal Institutions work on achieving this important social target. Even though there are many informal ways children are being educated with knowledge and wisdom. From birth to death people learn many things to expand their knowledge and wisdom, both from formal and informal ways. They grasp knowledge and wisdom not only from school, colleges and universities but also from family, society, workplace and other institutions. This happens through learning, training, observing and experiencing things. Therefore education never can be restricted just only to a formal institution. It explores the massive unlimited school of the world.

Value Of Education

The word education should be explained more broadly than limiting it to a narrow range of studies. It should start from home by parents making the children learn from their closer environment. The children should get the opportunity to expand their knowledge by moving with nature. Nature provides a vast range of knowledge and wisdom where any school, college or university never can give. The children who keep the first step of studying with nature will never be a burden to their society, country or to the world. They will love wisdom and will spread the fragrance of wisdom throughout the world  and will learn to face challenges and as well as to solve them in a very friendly way with less or zero harm.

Education should train learners how to generate self confidence, which is the most important factor of development. This helps to satisfy with what they have, and to reach the goal happily. Learners should be taught to stop negative criticism or blaming for everything,  rather than any proper investigation. But what they should learn is to get the right and the correct thing out of everything, in other words to filter good from bad correctly. At the same time turn bad into good and get the maximum use from so called bad than throwing it to the dustbin. If not, things will remain in the same place without moving in the right direction. Therefore education should remove arrogance from people and make them polite in front of all nations, and to do the right thing at the right time without wasting time, without understanding the real value of time. At the same time children should be involved in family decision making from their small age, which helps them to be good leaders.

A good nature friendly humanitarian education system always removes social discrimination. It teaches to respect each and everyone rather than categorising people according to their occupation, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, education, money, power or other things. If so, there won’t be any employment issues in society and no one will need to run a race by pushing down the friend next to you. People can start to love and help each other without blaming and criticising. In the same time they will reach mental development as well as material development. Mental stress, frustration and unhappiness will be removed from human lives and instead of this love, happiness and satisfaction will enter their lives. All these can be achieved for any society or for a nation by changing the education system positively and in a nature friendly way.

Formal And Informal Education

Formal education refers to things happening in a well planned and organised systematic structure such as; schools, universities, and other systematic educational institutions. Informal education refers to a life long learning process, which is started based on family and society. Where children learn a lot about  practical life, which formal Institutions are unable to provide.

School is the main formal institution which brings a social link between children and society. It teaches how a child should adapt to the macro society from their micro society of family. The school process always provides creativity, discipline and intelligence to their learners which means students. Finally it helps to produce a creative output to the entire world, in other words a valuable social being. 

But this is highly questionable in many countries, so-called developed, less developed or developing nations. So-called countries provide a higher level of education system which is mainly based on exam oriented paper qualifications, where the output is framed to a limited range of knowledge. Many learners fail to explore their knowledge beyond the frame. They always struggle to explore knowledge and wisdom, due to this limited range of framed studies. Schools, colleges and universities have put learners purposely to a frame according to the requirement of the job market, which has become the key objective of almost all learners and their parents. Parents put a great effort on their children and to attach them to a well reputed employment. This has made all parties to keep trusting on paper qualifications rather than knowledge and wisdom. 

Even though this highly competitive education system has failed to fulfil the real need of the world. It has failed to produce wise people who love for wisdom, nature and the entire mankind. The system always tries to produce memorized parrots to society, with malfunctioning of senses. They never know about the grounded reality and even never want to know about it, but always dream and work only on personal life targets which are being highly imprinted to their minds from childhood by parents and teachers. Knowing or unknowing this narrow ideology loaded on the learners by parents, teachers and the education policy makers, is so harmful for the future.

This shows even how much formal Institutions are formed, children learn many practical things from informal practices led by family and society. They really absorb a heap of knowledge which takes them for life success. Therefore if the education really provides knowledge it can not be upgraded or downgraded as formal or informal. Because what is most important is knowledge. No matter even if it comes through formal or informal practices. 

However there are some countries in the world who have changed the old conventional exam oriented education system to a practical nature loving system, which is most needed for the existing and the upcoming future world.
